Cloud Computing 

On 18th and 19th January 2013,Department of IT and RCV Innovations Pvt Ltd., a leading local cloud service provider organized two-day workshop on cloud computing for IVth year IT students to impart practical training in leading edge technologies such as virtualization, process automation and collaboration in cloud computing.
Other topics such as enabling technologies for cloud computing, cloud computing architecture, deployment and service models, Career paths in Cloud Computing also discussed in the workshop. The workshop enables students to successfully complete the associated Comp TIA Cloud Essentials Exam to become a Cloud Essentials Professional (CEP).

Microsoft Technologies 
Department of IT and Microsoft student partners organized one day workshop on 10th April 2013 to create awareness about Microsoft technologies such as Windows App Development, Windows Azure, Windows 8, Windows Phone and office 2013.

SEMINARS

IPv6 Guest Lecture on July 2013

NPTEL Workshop
Natioanl Programme for Technology Enhanced Learning(NPTEL)  is a project funded by the Ministry of Human Resource Development and executed by the seven original IITs and IISc. To bring”NPETL Awareness” to all educational institutions,5th August 2013,Mr.Godfrey Rajan, Tech Lead, Classle, Chennai organized a workshop for III IT,III EEE and IVth Year IT students at CFDM. The participation of our students and faculty was overwhelming and they are keen on taking advantage of the power of technology for learning.


Techineer
On 13th October 2012, Department of IT and Sparc Info Systems organized a seminar on Techineer modules which includes web apps and digital media foundations for III and IVth year students. Mr.Manoj Raj, CEO, Sparcs Info Systems delivered the lecturers.
On 30th March 2013,Department of IT and Binary Link Network Solutions organized a seminar on Computer Hardware, Networking & Internet Security for II,III and IVth year students. The lecture was delivered by P.Ramesh, a Microsoft Certified Trainer from Binary Link Networking Solutions.
