Technical education forms the backbone of development of a nation. Industry is the major consumer of technical institution product. The real requirement of industry will be explored only through effective interaction with them. Interaction between the industry and institute is now widely recognized. The industry is poised to face global competition, unemployment, and under-employment. A good and vibrant industry institute interaction is always required by both sides. Better interaction between institutions and industry is the need of an hour. Keeping this in view, the Industry Institute Coordination Cell was established at Nalla Malla Reddy Engineering College on 15th November, 2015.
This helps the students to get exposure to industry and subsequently results in placements. With opening of Indian economy to outside world, there is a cutthroat competition and industries have to sustain in the long run. This necessitates the need for good students who are well aware of industry standards and capable of achieving so. This will have great bearing on the engineering curriculum, exposure of industrial atmosphere to engineering students and subsequent placements of young graduating engineers in industries across the country. To solve their engineering problems, they look up now to engineering institutions. Similarly, there is an urgent need to prepare engineering students for jobs in multinational companies, by exposing them to newer technologies and engineering methodologies. These objectives can only be achieved well by bridging the gap between industry and academic institute.
