The Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering has an intake of 180 students in the Under-Graduate programme and 18 in M.Tech programme. The department offers VLSI System Design as the specialization and is planning to go for more specialisations.

The Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering has an intake of 180 students in the Under-Graduate programme and 18 in M.Tech programme. The department offers VLSI System Design as the specialization and is planning to go for more specialisations.

The department is also offering some topics outside the syllabus in the form of technical seminars and workshops by outside experts.

Presently the Department has a total strength of around 580 students including the PG, UG and lateral entry UG students. The Department has 27 experienced Faculty members, with M.Tech qualification.

To produce globally competitive and socially sensitized engineering graduates and to bring out quality research in the frontier areas of Electronics and Communication Engineering.
  • To provide quality and contemporary technology in the domain of Electronics and Communication Engineering through periodically updated curriculum, laboratory facilities, collaborative ventures with the industries and effective teaching-learning process.
  • To implement and modify new technologies in Electronics and Communication Engineering and related disciplines in order to serve the needs of the society, industry, government and scientific community.
  • To pursue higher studies/research in new technology to distinguish oneself in a particular field.
  • Graduates will excel in their professional career and higher education in Electronics and Communication Engineering and related fields.
  • Graduates will exhibit leadership through technological ability and contemporary knowledge.
  • Graduates will adapt to emerging technologies for sustenance in their relevant areas of interest.
